Apr. 17 Bomb Trial in Rome: The tiral has opened in Rome-under strong guard-of Signor Petre Valpreda-an anarchist and former professional dancer. He is accused of placing a bomb in Milan bank which killed 16 people on December 12, 1969. The bomb was one of several which exploded in the late afternoon of that day in Milan and Rome. Altogether 106 people were injured. Eleven other people are also on trial. Signor Valpreda and three other defendants are accused of possessing explosives and massacre in allegedly having organized the explosing in Milan and Rome. Signor Valpreda alone is charged with placing the bomb in the Banca Nazionale dell Agriculture in Milan which caused the death of 16 people.
