Apr. 16 Rome -- Under heavy police guard, a trial opened which may finally shed some light on a purported coup attempt about 7 years ago and other alleged rightist-led plots against the Italian state. About 200 policemen kept a close watch at an indoor basketball court at the fore italico which Italian authorities have converted into a court room for the trial. Seventy seven persons are charged in the complicated proceeding grouping a series of alleged incidents between 1970-75. Photo shows The accused in state of arrest, one of them is the Col.
