May 10, 1960 - Car Dealer Shot Dead by Chicago- Style Gunmen Outside a London House: Twenty two year old Billy Smith a car dealer was shot dead last night outside the house of his uncle - in Latimer Road, Notting Hill. He was Catling on his uncle - when a big black saloon car drove up and stopped. In the car black saloon car drove up and stopped. In the car were six men. A window was opened and a man yelled This is for you, Smith - and a shot rang out. Smith had turned to run for shelter in a nearby courtyard - but he was too late. The Bullet, belived to come from a large calibre automatic pistol struck him in the middle of his back and penetrated his heart. He died on the pavement. The car raced off.
