May 05, 1962 - Chelsea Cafe Raided-In Search For Drugs: Nearly five hundred customers were searched yesterday-when police made a raid on the Cafe des Artistes'- in Chelsea-in search of drugs. More than four hundred names were taken-and six have been charged with possessing dangerous drugs-one with possessing an offensive weapon-and one with obstruction. They appeared at the West London Court this morning.Photo shows. Three men keep their heads covered-when on way to the hearing this morning
