Feb. 02, 1961 - Jury Fail To Agree In The Kiss In Car Case. In the High Court, the jury failed to agree in the Kiss in the Car case, in which Mr. Gerald Selby, 30, of Bickenhall Mansions, Baker-street, and his fiancée, Miss Anne Firman, 24, of Waterford-road, Harrow, claim damages against P.C. Donald MacLennan and ex-P.C. John MacDonald. They allege false imprisonment, malicious prosecution, assault and conspiracy. The action followed the acquittal of Mr. Selby and Miss Firman at London Sessions in May 1959, on charges of outraging public decency while in Mr. Selby's car in Ennismore-gardens, Kensington on April 10, 1959.
