Nov. 11, 1960 - Sensation at tower bridge man says he is going to drive from top. There was a sensation at Tower Bridge this afternoon - when a man clibed form groundlevel to the top of the high bridge supports - saying that it was his intention to drive into the river. Police were soon on the scene - and climbed up to him - and eventuallu persuaded him not to jump because the water was much to swallow. A fire engine was called - and the man was helped to the ground - and taken into custody by the police. It was learned that he is 40 year old Johnny Sanger. Photo shows Johnny Sanger - high up on the bridge supports this afternoon. Police persuaded him to climb down
