Nov. 11, 1960 - Mummy in Cupboard trial; The mummified woman in the cupboard was strangled by her landlady after giving her written permission to draw2 a week maintenance money, a court heard yesterday. And the landlady, Mrs. Sarah Harvey, drew the money for 20 years - a total of2, 099 - until her son opened the cupboard and found the body of the woman, Mrs. Frances Knight, it was alleged by the Soliciter General, Sir Jocelyn Simon, Q.C. Mrs. Harvey collapsed and wept in the dock at Den bighshire Assizes at Ruthin, North Wales yesterday, when her son gave evidence of finding a mummified body in a locked cupboard.
