Dec. 12, 1964 - KILLER HUNT ENDS ON THE GUILDFORD BY-PASS. FREDERICK SMITH the Babes-in-the-Wood killer who eitikild-Frum-Waiiiiood Sorubbs on Monday was recaptured last night as he pushed a stolen bioitcle along the Guildford By-Pass in Surrey less than a quarter of a mile from the soone of his orime - seventeen years ago. Baok in 1947 Smith murdered tenon year old Eileen Gaff in tenor Woods, Guildford - and was sentenced to death and reprieved.
