Dec. 12, 1964 - Free Pardons granted for three former Prisoners. Report says Police lied at Inquiry': Free pardons for three former prisoners were announced in the House of Commons last night after the report of a Home Office inquiry into alleagations against the Metropolitan Police. The three men Patrick Tisball - Thomas Kingston - and Sidney Hill Burton alleged that weapons had been planted on them when they were convicted in 1959. They were fined but their punishment was increased to 28 days jail when they appealed. According to a report which followed an by five police officers lief. Two of the police officers are still in the police force but three have resigned. Three three pardoned men may received compensation.
