1965 - Strauss contra Augstein The hearing of witness in the action of CSU-Chairman Franz Josef Strauss against the publisher of Spiegel, Rudolf Augstein was continued before the 18th civil court of the country court Munich I. Franz Josef Strauss and Rudolf Augstein appeared personally. This civil suit was caused by an article of Rudolf Augstein with the title Incurable healthy?, which was published in Spiegel number 14/64 under a pseudonym. In this article he wrote about profiteering at armament-missions and site-speculations of the former German Federal Minister of Defence. As answer for this article Franz Josef Strauss brought an action for defamation against Augstein. OPS:- Left: Franz Josef Strauss and Major Brauchle of Munich, who appeared as witness.
