Dec. 12, 1965 - Moors murder charges hearing at Hide, Cheshire: The moors murder charges hearing is being held at Hyde, Cheshire. Ian Brady, a stock clerk, of Wardel Brook Avenue, Hattersley, Hyde, is charged with murdering 10 year old Lesley Ann Downey, 12 year old John Kilbride and Edward Evand, a 17 year old apprentice engineer. Myra Hindley, 23, a shorthand typist, of the same address, is charged with murdering Lesley and Edward Evans, and with receiving harbouring assisting and maintaining Brady knowing at Nehad murdered John Kilbride.
