Dec. 12, 1965 - Moors Murder charges hearing at Hyde Cheshire: The Moors murder charges hearing is being held at hyde in Cheshire. Ian Brady, 27, a stock clerk, of Wardle Brook Avenue, Hattersley, Hyde, is charged with murdering 10 year old Lesley Ann Downing, 12 year old John Kilbride, and Edward Evans, a 17 year apprentice engineer. Myra Hindley, 23 year old shorthand typist of the same address, is charged with murdering Lesley, and Edward Evans, and with receiving, comforting, harbouring, assisting, and maintaining Brady, knowing that he had murdered John Kilbride.
