Dec. 12, 1965 - Moors Murder Charges Hearing At Hyde Cheshire The Moors Murder charge hearing is being held at Hyde in Cheshire. Ian Brady, 27, a stock clerk, of Wardle Brook Avenue, Mattersley, Hyde, is charged with murdering 10-year-old Lesley Ann Downing, 12-year-old John Kilbride, and Edward Evans, a 17-year-old apprentice engineer. Myra Miniley, 23-year-old shorthand typist, of the same address, is charged with murdering Lesley and Edward Evans, and with receiving, comforting, harbouring, assisting and maintaining Brady, knowing that he had murdered John Kilbride.
