Feb. 02, 1966 - The Process Against The Beast of Cologne Opened: On February 14th the proceedings against the casual labourer Richard Ludwig Strack (Richard Ludwig Strack) began before the assize court in Cologne. On October 14th, 1965 he has murderer the 11 years old girls Waltraut Schiffer and Ursula Paleit (Waldtraut Schiffer - Ursula Paleit) with knife and harchet in the summer-house of his father in Cologne-Klettenberg. Every listener of the proceedings is searched through for arms before he is allowed to enter the court room. This precausion was taken because a great number of threatening letters against the murderer Strack arrived the competent authorities.
