Oct. 10, 1965 - Russian Envoy i shot in Lebanese security swoop: Two Russians, one a diplomat, were wounded in a gunfight in a Beirut flat with Lebanese security forces. A Lebanese officer and soldier were also wounded. A. Lebanese Government statement said the two Russians had been plotting with a cashiered Lebanese air force officer to steal a Mirage jet fighter from the Lebanese air force.
