Dec. 12, 1966 - Search continues for Frank Mitchell: The massive manhunt continues for Frank Mitchell the Mad Axeman who escaped from Dartmoor Prison whilst with an outside working party. It became clear yesterday that Mitchell had cluded the net spread around Dartmoor. A bundle of Mitchell's prison clothes, containing a sharp knife, was found in a field alongside the A30 road seven miles from Okehampton. Mitchell was believed to have headed for London.
