Feb. 02, 1968 - Dr. Petro Fined £1, 700 On Drug Charges Dr. John Petro, 62, pleaded guilty at Marylebone to 17 charges concerning drugs. He was fined a total of £1, 700 and given a year in which to pay. He was ordered to pay £21 costs. Dr. Petro pleaded guilty to 15 charges that between July 20 and Oct. 12 last year he failed to enter in chronological sequence in a register particulars of a total of 144 1/3 grains of diamorphine, 106 grains of cocaine and 100 mgms. of methadone he obtained. He also admitted two charges that between August 22 and December 1 last year he failed to enter particulars of diamorphine and cocaine supplied by him. The prosecution withdrew a charge of failing to keep a register and entering particulars concerning six grains of diamorphine and six grains of cocaine obtained by him.
