Jul. 03, 1969 - Demolition Men Find Big Art Haul. Six Picasso works and 19 other paintings, worth ?300, 000, stolen in April from the Kensington home of Sir Roland Penrose, were found by two demolition workers who were stripping an empty shop in Ealing yesterday. Mr.Eddie Mitchell, 30 carpenter, of Harris Way, Holmer Green, Bucks, took the paintings to an art shop in Southall. Mr. Marcus Taylor, a 42-year old photographer looking after the shop for the owner, realised the paintings may be valuable. He checked and called the police. Photo Shows:- Photographer Mr. Marcus Taylor, seen with one of the recovered paintings - Picasso's A Weeping Woman - which were taken into an art shop at Southall, after workmen had found them in a shop being demolished in Ealing. Mr. Taylor, who runs and industrial photography business at the rear of the art dealers, called in the police. He was looking after the art dealers shop while the owners were at a funeral in the North of England
