Feb. 02, 1971 - Twelve year Old Girl - Chained be her mother..She was in danger of becoming a Street Girl': A few days ago - a policeman walking Alexander the Great Street - Athens - discover chance - at No. 70 - twelve tear old Evangelia Manthaiou chained to her bed with thick chains. The girl had been there for three months - but she did not appear to be unduly pertohed or worried. The house was a very poor one - and the girl was there alone..When her mother returned from work she explained the reason..She said she had chained her daughter to the bed to stop her from becoming a street girl.. Both the mother and father, a driver were out at work all day - during which time the girl had made friends with two tramp-girls of 14 and 15 and went out with them. She had been raped by a man who was with the girls. Twice she had left her home for days - and neither beating or the close-cutting of her hair by the parents would keep her away from her friends - so they had to chain her up.. Experts examine the girl and found that she was suffering from precocious egotism (over-sexed) - and have a advised hospital treatments for her.
