Nov. 11, 1967 - Teachers Dies in Classroom Hold-Up.: A young man armed with a shotgun, held a class of 14 girls and a teacher hostage today in their needle work class for two hours, blasting away at anybody who tried to enter the classroom. One of the shots that he fired hit and fatally injured the teacher, identified as Mrs. Hansen 26, who died in Dundee Hospital from gunshot wounds. The school is the St. John's Roman Catholic Secondary School, Dundee. The man, not yet named, surrendered to police after they had moved in with dogs and metal shields.
