Sep. 24, 1968 - Gunman Emerges From Besieged Cottage To Collect Food: John James the Shropshire gunman besieged in his Cottage are Westonlie, for the first time yesterday to collect groceries, He carried his shotgun under his arm. James walked six paces to an outhouse wall and collected a loaf of bread, a tin of Luncheon meat, butter and water left by Mr. Tom Hadlington, his brother-in-law. It is now six days since James barricades himself in the cottage with his wife Joyce and four young children. Photo shows One of the children seen at the window of the besieged cottage
