Oct. 10, 1970 - Trial about Scandal of art On 2nd October 1970 the so-called Mucki-trial started at the Superior Court in Munich. The defendants are, Gilbert Maria Podmaniozky (56), a film regisseur immigrated from Hungaria, Egon Walter Bieler (65), a merchant, the carpet-dealer Axel Cramer Von Clausbruch (42), the former actor and subsequent picture - dealer Geza Esterhazy (45), They are accused of having sold not very valuable picture -copies to upstarts in the Federal Republic of Germany at high prices and therefor to have made a great profit. The trial, which is supposed to become one of the most interesting on the subject pf the trade in works of art, will probably last until the middle of November.
