Dec. 12, 1971 - Search for the Cologne bankrobbers; Alec the police was busy searching for the three bank robbers who assaulted a bank in Cologne on December 27th and carried off DM 300, 000 - (00, 000) it was impossible to find the robbers. After they freed the two policemen whom they took as hostages they walked off and disappeared in a wood near the German French border. All the border crossings are guarded strongly and also on the French side numerous police are on duty. The 600 West German policeman who are searching the area with dogs are supported by helicopters of the Federal Border Police and of the Federal Army.
