Sep. 24, 1973 - Another trial against member of anarchistic Baader-Meinhoff group, started on Sept. 24, 1973 in Munich: Mr. Gerd Pohle, 31, formerly an attorney himself, is accused of having bought weapons and equipment for the anarchistic reunion. Safety measures taken by Munich police were very strict for this trial. Yet they could not prevent tumult and protests among the spectators, mostly young people and students who sympathise with the defendant. Several of them were arrested on account of contempt of court. Picture shows was taken on the trial's second day, showing the defendant (left) and one of his three attorneys, Mr. Frank Niepel, shortly before the defendant had attacked photographer who wanted to take his picture
