Aug. 08, 1971 - Brutal Bankrobbery in Munich (West-Germany): Just before closing-time ( 4 p.m.) two gangsters wearing maskes and provided with arms assaulted a branch of the Deutsche Bank in East Munich on August 4th. The gangsters held 13 hostages, but kept after a while only 5 of them (4 women, 1 man). A posse of policemen surrounded the building and blocked the area. Six sharpshooters of the police were posted at the tactic important points. To let the hostages free the gangsters asked for 2 million marks and a safe-conduct. The police made them a car available. The gangsters gave an ultimatum till 10 p.m. About midnight the situation became dramatical. The money was there. One of the gangsters left the bank with one hostage, the 20 year old Ingrid Reppel, to get to the car. At this moment the sharpshooters fired and shot the gangster. During the following shooting Ingrid Reppel, who was sitting in the car, was injured to death. Then the police assaulted the bank, freed the hostages and caught the second gangster. The gangster were the 32 year old Hans Georg Rammelmayr from Munich (who had been killed) and the 24 year old Todorov Dimitri, assumed to be German from Craz (Austria)
