May 05, 1975 - First Day of Trial Against Leading Members of Baader/Meinhof Group In Stuttgart On May 21st, 1975 the trial against Ulrike Meinhof, Andreas Baader, Gudrun Ensslin and Jan-Carl Raspe, leading members of the so-called Baader/Meinhof group, started in Stuttgart. The trial, which took 3 years of preparations, however only lasted for 7 hours, then it was adjourned to May 30th, so the court can deliberate about the three councils who had been barred from the trial last week. It was asked, that they could each plead on behalf of another defendant than they had before, after which the Federal Bar immediately applied for new preclusion.
