Jan. 01, 1975 - Skyjacker held after airport drama. A skyjacker who seized a BAC 1-11 jet airliner on a flight from Manchester to London, was over powered after a successful bluff. The man. who held the crew hostage for eight hours at Heath Row airport, had demanded 00, 000 and to be flown to Paris. Instead the plane flew to Stansted Airport, Essex, where he was overpowered as he left the plane. Photo shows Mr. Allan Bond. a steward on the skyjacked plane, who the skyjacker held hostage as he left the plane, shows how the sky jacker held his pistol and explosive device whilst aboard the plane
