Jan. 01, 1975 - Skyjacker held after airport drama. A skyjacker who seized a BAC 1-11 jet airliner on a flight from Manchester to London, was over powered after a successful bluff. The man. who held the crew hostage for eight hours at Heath Row airport, had demanded 00, 000 and to be flown to Paris. Instead the plane flew to Stansted Airport, Essex, where he was overpowered as he left the plane.
