Crimes - Criminals - Judges - Lawyers - Trials

Jan. 01, 1973 - Legal proceedings against the Albrecht kidnappers have begun. The trial of the former attorney Heinz Joachim Ollenburg (47) and the 40 years old Paul Kron has begun before the superior Court in Essen (West Germany). At the end of November 1971 they kidnapped millionaire Theo Albrect. He was held in a room next door to Ollenburg's attorney practise in Dusseldorf for 17 days. After the ransom of 7 million marks was paid, he was set free. Only half of this money has been recovered so far. OPS: Heinz Joachim Ollenburg (right) and Paul Kron (on the left side) in the dock
