Apr. 07, 1973 - Armed Attack in Monchengladbach: On April 5th, 1973 one of the subsidiaries of the Dresdner Bank in the city of Monchengladbach was the scene of an armed attack during which the two gangsters took two women employees of the bank as hostages with them. The robbers asked for a ransom of 1 million marks. With that money and together with their hostages in a Mercedes 250 Photo shows the robbers fled through half of West-Germany. In a small village near Worms (gollheim) they left their car, which was followed by the police, behind and continued their way on foot. The two hostages had been released before. A well organized search with 600 policemen and six helicopters has been started
