1977 - International Bar Conference Raise Money For The Temple Bar Trust During an International Bar Conference at the Cafe Royal, members of the Bar, put money into a large bottle as a fund raising pledge to save the Temple bar, the famous gateway to the City of London. The Temple Bar trust intends to restore it to a rightful place in the City in the precincts of St. Paul's Cathedral. The estimated cost of this project will be £500, 000.
