Mar. 03, 1974 - Passengers Flee From Skyjacked Jet Airliner: 92 passengers and the crew of 10 slid down chutes of safety form a British Airways Super VC-10 a Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam, on Sunday, where it had been forced to land by two Arab gunmen, who had seized the plane about 90 minutes after it had left Beirut for London. After telling the passengers and crew to move out quickly, the gunmen set the plane alight with whisky and gin from the aircraft's bar.
