Jan. 01, 1980 - Mother Who Gave Her Baby Son Away To American Film Star Jane Russell Is Murdered. The police are hunting the killer of Mr. Florence Kavanagh, aged 53, whose body was found in her burned-out flat in Clapham. It was in 1951 that Mrs. Kavanagh gave her baby son Tommy to Actress Jane Russell as she was unable to have children of her own. She later adopted Tommy. He is now 30 and is a drummer in a Rock band.
