Oct. 10, 1977 - Members Of The Baader-Meinhof Gang Kill Themselves In Person: Ankdreas Baader, 37 leader of the Red Army faction, the terrorist gang also known as the Baader Meinhof group, and Gudrun Ensalin, 37, who became co leader after the suicide in prison last year of Ulrke Meinhof, both shot themselves in prison today. So did another member of the gang Jan-Carl Raspe. Irmgard Moeller also tried to kill herself by stabbing a knife in her heart. All except Moeller were serving life for terrorist offenses in the maximum security prison at Stammhelm, She was only serving a four-and-a-half years for being a member of a terrorist group.
