Jun. 06, 1980 - Libyan Army Deserter murdered in Athens: A young Tripoli born Libyan, an opponent of the Libyan leader Khadafy and a deserter from the Libyan army, was found murdered in his one roomed apartment in a working, clas suburb of Athens.The victim, 23 year old El Kinyas Abdel - Rahman who was employed in a local factory making metal furniture. Neighbours said that he has refused to return to Libya even though his mother had begged him to. He had criticized the Khadafy regime. When his body was found some arabic writing was found on the wall which read: The revolution will live forever, death and no mercy to the Imperialists Athens security police, arrested a Libyan oil company worker, 50 year old Mohammed Abdallah Said, of the State controlled Libyan. Petroleum Organization, and charged him with the murder. Also charged were his two accomplices. Libyan students back of the neck and athen used a knife on him. Photo shows Mohammed Abdallah said leaving the public prosecutors office after being charged with the murder behind him are the two other students also charged as accomplices
