Jan. 01, 1977 - Big Security Check At The Old Bailey For The Start Of The Balcombne Street Siege Trial: A massive net was put around the Old Bailey today at the start of the Balcombe Street siege trial. Four men are charged with jointly being involved in seven members. They are Josephell, aged 23, Harry Duggan, 23 both from Co Claze, Edward Butlar, 26, of Limerick and Hugh Doherty, 25, , from Glosgow. The victims were professor Gordon Hamilton Fairley, a cancer expert, Rose McWhirter, Publisher, Capt.Roger Goad a bomb disposal here.
