Jun. 06, 1959 - Julia Inherits £90, 000 In Will of Her Father - After Court Battle. Miss Julia Carole Skinner of Chelsea left the Probate Court - after having been told by Mr. Justice Stevenson that she had inherited the £90, 000 fortune of her father Major James Skinner. The latter had made two wills the second being a week before his death in April 1954 in which Miss Skinner was to receive £1, 000 a year for twenty one years - and then the whole income from the estate. The first was made in 1948 in which Mr. and Mrs. Kent of West Kensington were made joint guardians of Miss Skinner. Yesterday the judge ruled that Major Skinner died in the estate p and thus Miss Skinner should inherit immediately.
