Crucifixion sculpture, Feldafing, Upper Bavaria
1964 - One of the most important and unusual Calvary of Germany is the one at Feldafing near Starnberg, Upper Bavaria. A wonderfully situated park surrounds the sculptures illustrating the Passion of Christ. Centre of them is this Y-shaped cross which was made based on the vision of the blessed Katherina Emmerich. According to the grave shroud the artist Hans Nachreiner modelled the body of Christ and the sudarium of Veronica was the model for the head of Christ
