Apr. 30, 1965 - Site of Thursday attack -- A.U.S. Marine stands guard in front of the American embassy in Santos Domingo, which was attacked by scattered snipers on Thursday. The Marines guarding the building killed several. Five other embassier were reported to have been attacked, including those of Mexico and E1 Salvador. The rebel forces fighting inside the city, made up of Dominican army men and armed civilians, denied having anything to do with the attack on the american embassy
