Cunard liner, Queen Elizabeth II, oil leak
Nov. 30, 1968 - Oil Leak Cuts Short QE2 Sea Trials - The Traials of the Cunarder Queen Elizabeth 2, 65, 000 tons, were interrupted yesterday because-oil had sceped into the water system in the boiler room. The ship returned from trials in the Firth of Clyde to her anchorage at Tail-of the-Bank and will re-enter the dry dook at Greenock Division of apper Clyde Shipbuilders, who is aboard the shipobservring the trails, said that the ship had undergone Satisfaction trails in perfect condions, she had carried cut fast working-up speeds but had not gone Full Ahead Over a Moasured Mile.
