May 05, 1950 - PIMPERNEL Shaw arrives with sister-in-law. Rescued from Czech Secret Police. An R.A.F. wing commander, who has played Scarlet Pimpernal to a family facing arrest by the Csech secret police, landed at London Airport today. the wing commander, Donald Shaw, of Petersfield, Hampshire, brought with him his sister-in-law, British born MRS, Mary Kukekava, and her 5-years old daughter two of the three people he secretly whisked out of Czechoslovakia spent five days in the mountain headquarters on the German-Czech border before he was able to rescue them, with the help of Resistance workers. Mr. Kukucava is staying in Nuremburg until formalities are completed there..
