Jul. 07, 1953 - The Home made Tank in which eight Czechs Broke through the Iron Curtain: Week after week for two years a young Czech mechanic in Pilsen collected pieces of scrap iron a replica of an armoured vehicle of the Czech army. Then the construction task completed and driving his own home made armoured car he brought eight people to safety to the West in one of the most amazing escapes from Czechoslavakia yet recorded.
