Jul. 07, 1953 - The home-made tank in which eight Czechs broke through the Iron Curtain.: Week after week for two years a young Czech mechanic in Pilsen collected pieces of scrap iron a replica of an armoured vehicle of the Czech-army. then - the construction task completed and driving his own home made armoured car - he brought eight people to safety to the West - in one of the most smasing escapes from Czecho-Slovakia yest recorded.
