Aug. 08, 1968 - Czechoslovak news agency Photo service Prague-1Opletalova 5, Czechoslovak-Rumanian treaty signed: Nicolar Ceausescu, chairman of the Romanian State Council, and Czechoslovak President Ludvik Svododa, signed in Prague before noon August 16th a new treaty of friendship, . coperation and mutual assistance between Rumania and Czechosolovakia. The treaty contains a declaration of the two contracting parties at teh inviolability of the existing frontiers between European states is one of the main pre-conditions of European security, and that the two countries would take all necessary measures against plots and aggression onthe part of imperialic military and revanchist forces. The treaty is for twenty years and will become vaid on the exchange of the ratification documents, which will be done in Bucharest shortly.
