Jan. 31, 1985 - January 31st 1985, United Nations, New York City: Mr. Gouara Lassou, Foreign Minister of Chad, presented documents and videotapes to the United Nations Council that implicated Libyan leader Muammar Kaddafi in a plot to blow up president Hissene Habre of Chad and his entire cabinet. As part of his evidence Mr. Lassou displayed an attache case that had contained, 33 pounds of Czech-made semtex-H explosives divided into six bricks wrapped in oil paper, an antenna and a radio controlled detonator. Mr. Gouara Lassou, foreign minister of Chad, displaying the attache case during a press conference held in the United Nations Headquarters building the following day
