Danish royal family skiing in France
Feb. 26 Danish Royal Family Skiing In France The Danish Royal Family recently paid a private visit to Megeve, the exclusive French winter sports resort, for a skiing holiday. Prince Henrik is a very competent alpine enthusiast, whilst Queen Margrethe, who will celebrate her fortieth birthday on April 16th, prefers Nordic cross-country skiing. Their two sons, Prince Frederik and Prince Joachim, follow their father's example, enjoying the thrills of a downhill run. The family's enthusiasm for the sport left them with little time to be together except at meal times and the two little Princes eagerness and skill attracted the attention of other visitors. During the holiday Prince Henrik also took his sons to the Italian resort of Courmayeur to sample the challenge of some more advanced slopes.
