Nov. 22, 1972 - Stuntman Killed In Tunnel Of Fire: Stuntman Stephen Ladd, 25, of Tottenham, London, died yesterday when he rode his motor cycle into a 50-yard long tunnel of flaming straw bales, at Wintry Park Farm, at Epping, Essex. He had already successfully raced through the tunnel, breaking the record for riding through fire - but then went through a second time, but his machine lost speed and he was dead before rescuers could get him clear.
