Mar. 03, 1959 - Annie Ross Flies 6, 000 Miles To Sing Free Of Charge: 28-year old Annie Ross, the singing friend of Princess Margaret, turned up at St. Paul's Cathedral yesterday to sing for Christian Action. Canon L. John Collins, who posed on the cathedral steps with her, said: She's flown 6, 000 miles to appear, free of charge, at our jazz concert at the Festival Hall tomorrow'. We're raising money for our Race Relations Fund'. With Annie were dave Lambert and Jon Hendricks, her partners in an American poll-winning trio that has been described as the swingin'est jazz group ever to make Birdland bounce Photo shows.
