David Bedford, athlete, training to be a PE teacher
Mar. 27 Dave Bedford To Train As PE Teacher Has To Learn Dancing: The famous running star David Bedford has enrolled at St. Mary's College, Twickenham, to train as a PE teacher. He intends taking a degree in physical education. He has scrapped plans to run 10 miles from his Wimbledon home to the college each morning and back again at night. I've decided to take a flat in Twickenham. I'll do my training in Richmond Park. In the next few months he will be busy training for the 10, 000 metres at the 1972 Olympics in Munich. Dave will a take part in a whole range of college sports and as part of his course in body and government will have to learn to dance. St. Mary's rates among the top four physical education training colleges in Britain
