David Rockefeller at Youth Orchestras reception

Mar. 03, 1972 - Reception with music at Christie's. : The Trustees of the International Festival of Youth Orchestras Foundation of Great Britain - of which Mr. Heath is president - last night gave a Reception with Music at Christie's, King Street, at which plans were announced for the 4th. International Festival of Youth Orchestras which will take place in Lausanne, Switzerland from 24th. July to 5th. August. The major aim of the Foundation is to promote international understanding amongst the youth of the world through music. Many well-known personalities attended the reception. Photo shows Guest of Honour Mr. David Rockefeller, who is a keen entymologist, speaking at last night's reception after being presented with a rare specimen of British beetle embalmed in perspex. The philamthropic arm of the Chase Manhattan Bank, the Chase Manhattan International Foundation of which Mr. Rockefeller is President, has become the major sponsor of the fourth International Festival of Youth Orchestras
