Mar. 03, 1954 - Debutante goes to the palace - a year late. Miss Beverley Snyder, the plucky 18-year old debutante who had 18 operations after being burned just before she was due to make her curtsy to the queen last year, went to Buckingham palace this afternoon - a year late - to be presented to the queen mother at the presentation party. Last April she was severely injured when her dressing gown caught fire at her kensington home. She was rushed to hospital and had 18 skin grafting operations. photo shows Miss Beverley Snyder leaving her home for the palace today
